Embed Resimo Web on your website.
A guide for your web team: what we send, where the code goes and how to check that the application works on your page and in your analytics.
- Applies to
- Resimo Web, and the CRM and analytics panel
- Who does it
- Your web team, with our instructions
- What we need
- The address of the page
- Access to your site
- None. We never log in to your CMS
Before you start
Resimo Web runs on our server and appears on your page through one embed code. We do not need access to your website or your CMS: your web team pastes the code, and we check the result.
Have these ready:
- The address of the page where the application should appear, or of every page if there are several
- Someone on your side who can edit and publish that page
- If you track the site in GA4 or Google Tag Manager, the person who manages it
Embed the application
Five steps. Your part is the third and the fourth.
Send us the page address
Send your project manager the address of the page where the application goes. If it goes on several pages, list them all.
Receive the embed code
We send the embed code for your development with the deployment instructions. It is the same code for every CMS.
Paste the code into the page
Your web team places the code where the application should appear. Give it the full width of the content column and publish the page.
Check it on a phone and a laptop
Open the published page on a phone, a tablet and a laptop. The building should load, the filters should open and an apartment should open from the list.
Tell us it is live
Send us the address once the page is published. We check the application on your site and confirm.
Track it in Google Analytics
A tag manager on your page cannot see inside the embedded application, so tags placed on the page do not fire on clicks inside it. The application reports its own events to your page, and your page passes them on to GA4.
Three ways to set it up
| Option | How it works | When to choose it |
|---|---|---|
| A. Embedded, with a listener | The application sits on your page and a short listener passes its events to your dataLayer | Most websites. This is the usual set-up |
| B. Standalone, your GTM | The application runs on its own address with your Google Tag Manager container | When the application has its own address and your tags live in GTM |
| C. Standalone, your GA4 | The application runs on its own address and reports straight to your GA4 property | When you use GA4 without a tag manager |
What the application reports
The main event is generate_lead. It is sent only when an enquiry is actually submitted, and it names the development and the apartments the enquiry was about. It carries no personal data.
Optional events cover the rest of the visit: view_item, 3d_view_open, search_filter_used, apartment_inquiry_start, file_download, add_to_compare, compare_open and copy_link.
We connect tracking for all your developments at once, and it usually takes a couple of working days once we have what we need.
If something does not work
| What you see | What to check |
|---|---|
| The page shows an empty frame | Check that the code was pasted whole and that your site's security settings allow content from our domain. If it stays empty, send us the page address. |
| It loads slowly on a phone | The first load of the 3D scene takes longer on a weak mobile connection. Try it on Wi-Fi, and tell us the device and browser if it stays slow. |
| A price or status is out of date | Statuses and prices come from your CRM or the Resimo panel. Check the unit there first. If it is right there and wrong in the application, tell your project manager. |
| GA4 shows no leads | Tags on your page do not see inside the application. Check that the listener from our instructions is on the page, then send a test enquiry. |
| The application opens in the wrong language | Tell us which language each page should open in, and we set it for that page. |
Still stuck?
Write to your project manager with the page address, the device and browser, and a screenshot or a short screen recording. That is usually enough to find the cause without a call.
See it live
Still need a hand?
Write to us with the page address and what you see. We answer the same day.
